Breakfast

I don’t know about you, but I notice a difference in my eating habits if I do not eat breakfast. I have {reluctantly} been keeping a food journal and I can easily see that I tend to snack more when I have skipped a meal, particularly breakfast.

I know this isn’t breaking news, but in honor of breakfast, I wanted to share a few healthy recipes with you. Start your day off right and curb your snacking.

Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins: Believe it or not, these bad boys are under 300 calories!

Change your normal egg routine into something fun...and portable! I have shared these little egg delights before, but they are so good and worth sharing again. You know - in case you missed the recipe the first time. I don't want anyone to miss out on yummy food.

Bagels are my friend. Sadly, the bagels I buy at Panera are not so good for my thighs! I found this recipe to make my own and have not missed my frequent and expensive trips out! Again, I have shared this recipe before but I wanted to share one more time because they have made me, and my family, very happy indeed. And as a bonus – one of these homemade bagels is a mere 150 calories.

You can't go wrong with pancakes! There are so many varieties – chocolate chip, blueberry, and banana are a few of our favs. Mix up your own batter in a snap.

I'm all over the quick and easy breakfast options. Try these flavorful Sausage Crescents. You are guaranteed to smile after biting into these little delights!

Random fact about D: I am a sucker for English Muffins. I love them. With butter and orange marmalade to be specific. Imagine my surprise when I found a recipe to make my own!

And last, but not least, if you have a little extra time on your hands, I highly suggest that you make this melt-in-your-mouth Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread. It is not healthy. I repeat, not healthy one iota. But it sure is yummy!

This is a good place to stop. I think you need to wipe off some drool...I've given you lots of breakfast ideas. I expect to hear how they have won over your family in the coming weeks.

What is your favorite breakfast food?

Keepin' it Real...D
