Back in the good ole days, my bestie and I would cook dinner for each other once a week. Taking the walk across the lawn was usually the best night of my week. Leanne made some lip-smackin' meals, but oddly enough, my favorite thing was when she made cheesy potatoes.
They look good, right? They taste even better...
What you'll need:
4 cans of potatoes (or peel and dice your own!)
4 tablespoons melted butter
4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Stir the butter, flour, salt, and milk over medium heat until thickened. Add cheddar cheese and stir into the sauce until melted. Pour over the potatoes and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. You can also put these in the crockpot and cook on low.
This sauce is versatile too...use it to make your new favorite mac & cheese!
Enjoy!
